The-7 Theme vs Salient Theme comparison
You are going to create a website and you have doubts between The-7 vs Salient? Both very good selling themes. These two themes have a lot in common such as beautiful designs, a lot of settings (high adaptability) and good page builders. We investigate which theme is better. We also test the themes for loading speed and webshop options.
THE-7 REVIEW (The-7 vs Salient)
In this The-7 Theme review we discuss all the plus and minus points of The 7. The7 was released in September 2013 by Dream-Theme. This great theme has until been sold 207.000 times and has a rating of 4.75 out of 5 (7476 ratings) on Themeforest, there are few themes with a better average rating.
New: Elementor integration
Another top theme that has chosen to cooperate with the Elementor page builder. Not a bad idea because Elementor is of course one of the best pagebuilders out there for WP. Definitely an improvement for the theme. It is nevertheless best to upgrade to the PRO version of Elementor.
The7 has more than 40 ready-made demo websites that can be installed with one click. You will find several beautiful lay-ous for every conceivable niche from which you can start your new site. Adjust the images, texts et cetera to quickly achieve your own style.
The7 review: 1000+ theme options?
The-7 theme is one of the most versatile you can imagine. I have not checked them, but according to Dream-Theme, The7 has more than 1000+ theme options and 250+ page options as shown in the image below.
The theme uses a full version of the WP Bakery pagebuilder, this plug-in takes care of the use of the short codes. This sought after pagebuilder costs a whopping 64 dollars. In The7 there are almost $ 200 worth of extra third-party plug-ins. In principle, one should always keep theme and shortcodes separate from each other. In this way the shortcodes still work after installing a new theme. With The7 this is not possible unless you purchase the plug-in separately later for $ 64. Adding shortcodes via the WP Bakery pagebuilder is very simple on the other hand.
As a writer of this The-7 review, I was also impressed by the many free plug-ins in the theme. So this concerns the WP Bakery pagebuilder, but also the best add-on for it: Ultimate Add-ons. Furthermore you get Convert Plus (Pop-ups), Go Pricing and Slider Revolution 6. The Slider plug-in is my favorite when it comes to sliders and works extremely accurately, you can set the slides for all devices such as laptop or mobile.
Something few premium themes even offer is a Wizzard that lets you set all sorts of things such as header, footer, logo and so on. This is of course perfect for people who have never created a website, you can forget so little.
The import function lets you install complete demo websites complete with images and slides. But the Importer is also able to import a single page of a demo via the URL you specified. You can use a few pages of different demos in your own design. Most themes that I know cannot do this.
Compatible with WPML
Ready for translation with WPML with which you can create multilingual websites. The theme itself is already available in 10 different languages so you do not have to translate these languages yourself, only your own content.
The theme is compatible with all known plug-ins including for example: WooCommerce, WPML, Yoast SEO, All in One WP Migration, W3 Total Cache and more.
The7 theme review final words
There is about this beautiful theme which is practically always discounted and available for only $ 39 much more to tell of course. But if your interest is aroused, you can use the button below to take a look at the theme page on Themeforest where everything is explained in scents and colors.
SALIENT THEME (The-7 vs Salient)
To start with, before the start of this Salient Theme review, I have to tell you that the theme has been in the top of the best-selling themes for years now on Themeforest.net. Okay, currently in 11th place, and highest ranking ever maybe in 4th place. There are much better sold themes but Salient has absolute top features that we will take a closer look at.
As a matter of fact, buyers are more enthusiastic about the theme than they are about any other theme. It has an average rating of 4.8 out of 5 based on 5700 ratings. For a premium theme with many options, it is a super-fast loading theme. The builders of Salient are currently claiming one Google Pagespeed a score of 97%, we will come back to this in a moment.
Salient Pagebuilder Editing<
With the latest version 11 of Salient it now has the front-end page builder of the WP Bakery Page Builder. Themes have to keep up with the times, of course, all toppers have frontend pagebuilders with Thrive Architect with the most impressive I think, followed by Divi and Elementor. Instead of images, we show you below in a video how the Salient page builder works. The WP Bakery Pagebuilder (formerly: Visual Composer) is one of the oldest and best out there, let's say the number 4 right now (my opinion).
Salient Theme: PageSpeed and Y-Slow
I did not check it myself with the speedometers concerned, but they show this on their website. Those are really anti-social good scores for Google Pagespeed and Y-Slow (GT-Metrix). Without a doubt impressive. It is very important for a website that it loads quickly, because visitors are impatient nowadays and are quickly away from sites that do not immediately have something to show.
Importable demo websites
Like every self-respecting theme Salient has beautiful easy to import layouts. At the time of writing it says on their site that it concerns 285+ demo layouts. A nice number but not a leader in this area. The layouts do give a very good impression and in the end 1 layout is enough so we will not give any negatives for this in this review for Salient.
Salient Theme: Lazy loading
Lazy loading means that images are not immediately shown in their full resolution. They appear immediately but cloudy and slowly pull up. This ensures that other elements on the page load faster and the entire website is visible to visitors much earlier. Normally people use a plugin or a CDN service for this, but with Salient this is not necessary although there is nothing better than a professional CDN-service if you want a super fast website.
Salient Theme review conclusion
We are not going to bore you here by mentioning all sorts of things that practically have all themes in this Salient review. We have raised the main plus points of the theme and there are few minus points. This can be seen from the extremely high rating that buyers of the theme gave it. The theme is definitely worth its $ 60 that is being asked for it Themeforest.net. That is a standard price for a good theme. Click on the button below to go to their site for more information. As a web designer, Salient is not one of my favorites, but I also have it in my collection and I sometimes use it for customers. You can find my personal favorites in the best Wordpress themes .
The-7 vs Salient comparison conclusion
Thank you for reading my Salient vs The7 theme comparison for to the end. My preference is for The-7, it seems to be just a bit better in all areas. Just a bit nicer designs and certainly the page builder elementor is more to my taste than the WP-Bakery page builder. A good page builder, but not comparable to Elementor and certainly not to Elementor Pro. However, both themes are certainly recommended as long as you only have 1 website.
I say this because these themes are only sold on the Themforest marketplace where one only gets half a year of support and each website you own has to buy a separate license. So from 2 websites you have lost 120 dollars with these themes, while for 89 dollars you can buy the best theme there is for as many sites as you want, namely the Divi Theme with a full year of support.
