This Go vs Neve Theme comparison shows you the pros and cons of these two fast-loading popular Wordpress themes. Only the Neve Theme also has a pro version. I discuss the themes one by one and at the end give my opinion which theme is better.

We start in this Neve vs Go comparison with the Neve Theme which does not automatically mean it would be better. Let's take a look at why the theme is so popular. There are currently more than 100,000 active installations and in its rating, the theme practically only gets 5 out of 5 stars. It doesn't get much better. Neve was built by ThemeIsle, a company that builds elite WP themes and WP plug-ins.

Installing Neve is very easy. You can download the free version from Wordpress.org. Upload the theme file via the standard Wordpress install. Install and activate it as shown in below screenshot.
It is recommended to install one of the many ready themes that Neve offers as shown below. If you click on that button, you will receive a message that you must first install 1 of the approximately 10 plug-ins that come with the theme. So do that here "Neve options" >> "Plug-ins" and activate the plug-in.
You can now select and install one of the hundreds of ready-made themes via the offered import function. Multiple demos are available for each niche. Neve offers a lot of demos, and of very good quality. You are sure to find something to your liking. This all works flawlessly and super fast and in this neve review we give the full points for ease of installation.
There is practically no theme better prepared for the installation of the top page builders. At the moment there are 92 demos available for Gutenberg, 122 for Elementor, 48 for Brizy, 99 for BeaverBuilder, even 10 for DiviBuilder and 10 for Thrive Architect but these last 2 only in the pro version. NEVE SPEEDTEST
Let's run a speed test. It is important to know that with a good cache plug-in every website becomes much faster. I therefore run the test right away with the best cache plugin installed, called WP-Rocket. The plugin is set to optimize everything so css and js combined & minified. The results without optimized images and with optimized images are shown below and these are very good results. There are faster themes such as Genesis-Framework which is recommended by Google and Wordpress themselves. Ultimately, all themes in the top 5 for speed are blazing fast.
Special about Neve is that no jQuery is used in their theme, but instead Vanilla Javascript. This form of JS is a lot faster and websites made with this theme will load faster.

Where other themes give licenses for 1 website, with Neve you always have the right to use the theme on as many sites as you want. For normal websites the Personal version is sufficient, if you own web shops I would opt for the slightly more expensive Bussiness version. Neve offers very reasonable prices and is well worth the money, this is a top theme.
NEVE THEME REVIEW: CONCLUSION
Neve is a great theme for both sites and shops with a huge variety of demo sites that can be installed with 1 click. The installation of the whole runs very smoothly and is very clear. The theme is written with great code, it cannot be more professional and is therefore one of the fastest themes on the market. The theme works with the best page builder I know, Elementor. As a result, Neve quickly builds top websites with the greatest of ease. It can be used on an unlimited number of websites and so you no longer need any other themes with Neve. Neve offers good support and you have 200+ videos and 300+ pages with tutorials available.
GO THEME (Go vs Neve)
The Go Theme only has a free version available through Wordpress.org. As a result, this review is somewhat smaller than that of themes that also have a pro version. This does not alter the fact that this theme is very good. It has 80,000+ active installs right now of course. The Go Theme was developed by Godaddy, the world famous hosting company. The theme comes together with the CoBlocks plug-in, also from Godaddy. The theme has unique properties that other themes do not have.
Go theme review: Rating
For starters, remember that Go has only been available to download from Wordpress.org since January 2020. If we check the Go-Theme's rating on Wordpress.org, it's 4.7 out of 5 which is just a really good rating. The Go-Theme has been installed on more than 80,000+ websites, which also gives a good impression of how much people like to work with this theme.
Go theme review: Demos
Like most good Wordpress themes nowadays, the Go-Theme has ready-made demo websites that can be installed with 1 click, the Go-Theme currently offers about 15 of them. For Go + CoBlocks these are the following demos that have their own name: Alder, Ashby, Barista, Bento, Everett, Figure, Keynote and Salt. The nice thing about demos is that you can make a quick start with them. The website is in principle already ready, but still with the wrong photos and texts. So place your logo in it, adjust the texts and photos and you are well on your way to having your own site.
Go theme review: Webshops
With the Go-Theme, the integration of the popular Woocommerce is a piece of cake and the theme is completely prepared for it. There are also a number of stylish minimalistic demos for webshops. On their site you will find these under Go + CoBlocks + WooCommerce called Avenue, Chai, Jane, Philo and Wares. The webshops that are built with this theme have a professional appearance.
Go theme review: Speed
Since Google nowadays honors fast-loading websites with a better SERP (Search Engine Result Page), the themes ensure that they have their loading speed in order and that also applies to the Go-Theme. You can see from the images above that the Go-Theme with a cache plugin performs extremely well in all tests, these are top-loading times.
Go theme review: Customizer
The Go-Theme theme comes standard with the Gutenberg page builder and adds the CoBlocks plugin which make everything work a lot better. That's why I don't think it's necessary to work with a 3rd party page builder. If you want to work with a top page builder, get the Divi Theme, which is of course not free. The complete extensive settings are in the Customizer.
Go theme: CoBlocks installs
CoBlocks is a plugin that currently offers 31 blocks. It also offers rows and columns so that Gutenberg functions practically as a trusted page builder. In the image above you can see that CoBlocks is installed on many more websites (500k+) than the Go-Theme and is therefore also used in many other themes. This is a top plugin.
Go theme review: Conclusion
The Go-Theme is a very good free theme. It offers many demos without paying anything where most themes only do that in the pro version. The use of the CoBlocks plugin is also very practical, although I personally prefer a good pagebuilder. The Go Theme is enough for most people to build a decent website and is easy to work with. If you'd rather spend some money to work with one of the best themes out there, you can do that too.
Go vs Neve Conclusion
First of all, thank you for reading this Go vs Neve comparison to the end. Neve is lightning fast and offers many beautiful layouts and works perfectly with Elementor, Brizy, Beaver Builder, Visual Composer, SiteOrigin and Divi Builder and Gutenberg. The Go Theme on the other hand doesn't really need a page builder due to the CoBlocks plugin. When we talk about the free versions, these are both very pleasant themes to work with that do not differ much from each other. Neve Pro should of course be compared with other premium themes, not with Go.
