Zakra vs Go Theme comparison [2025] 💥
ZAKRA vs GO THEME
Go vs Zakra, here we give you an overview of the best features of these two popular multipurpose themes. Only the Zakra Theme also has a paid version. Zakra or Go, which is the better Wordpress theme?
ZAKRA THEME (Go vs Zakra)
The Zakra Theme has a free as well as a Pro-version. The free version is very popular and as it should be, the Pro version is of course 5x better. I will discuss both versions. Zakra himself states to be a super-fast loading light-weight theme with 60 great demo websites that can be installed with 1 click.

Zakra theme review: Rating
Ehen we go to Wordpress.org and check Zakra's rating there, is it practically 5 out of 5. There are few themes with a better rating because there are out of 400 people who have given a rating, only 6 or 7 people who voted less than 5 stars. Zakra has been installed on more than 60,000+ websites and 474 people gave a rating, so that is very reliable.
Zakra theme review: Demos
Just like any other self-respecting WP theme these days, Zakra has ready-to-use demo websites that can be installed with 1 click, Zakra currently offers 60. Some of these are only available to Pro users. The Zakra demos are of very good quality and the speed of the site is maintained with these themes. You can see the Zakra demos live via their website.
The nice thing about demos is that you can make a quick start with them. The website is already ready, but still with the wrong photos and texts in principle. So place your logo in it, adjust the texts and photos and you are well on your way to having your own site.
Zakra theme review: Webshops
With Zakra, the integration of the popular Woocommerce is a piece of cake and the theme is completely prepared. Zakra gives you the opportunity to style the shop pages how you want without any HTML knowledge. The web shops that are built with this theme have a very professional appearance.
Zakra theme review: Speed
In the meantime, no theme wants to lag behind in terms of loading times or speed, as Google attaches more and more value to this. Zakra is therefore also built with a fast code that ensures good loading times in browsers. Zakra has the Vanilla Javascript instead of jQuery which is about 25% faster, this is quite unique although more and more top themes use it. You can see from the images above that Zakra with a cache plug-in performs extremely well in all tests, these are top loading times.
Zakra theme review: Page builder
The Zakra theme comes standard with the Gutenberg page builder. Although the theme is compatible with any of the best page builders out there, I recommend Elementor page builder. If it fits your budget the pro version otherwise the free version which is also very good.
Zakra theme review: Header builder
Zakra has extensive settings that allow you to style the header exactly the way you want it. No technical or HTML knowledge is required to adjust the header. You can see in the image above what the Zakra header has to offer. Of course, this only applies to the pro version.
Zakra theme review: Other features
Apart from the very good header options, Zakra has a lot more but I want to keep this review short and sweet so that you don't get bored, further information can of course be read on their own site, much better than here. Zakra Pro offers you quite a few different blog layouts, a great footer builder, all types of sidebars, special fonts, and good menu options although I don't believe they offer a mega menu.
Zakra theme review: Conclusion
I think the Zakra theme is already very good as a free version. The pro version is also great although there are of course better themes. The theme offers beautiful demos, many customization options. The theme works perfectly with Elementor together, my favorite page builder. This is one of the better themes available for Wordpress.
GO THEME (Go vs Zakra)
The Go Theme only has a free version available through Wordpress.org. As a result, this review is somewhat smaller than that of themes that also have a pro version. This does not alter the fact that this theme is very good. It has 80,000+ active installs right now of course. The Go Theme was developed by Godaddy, the world famous hosting company. The theme comes together with the CoBlocks plug-in, also from Godaddy. The theme has unique properties that other themes do not have.
Go theme review: Rating
For starters, remember that Go has only been available to download from Wordpress.org since January 2020. If we check the Go-Theme's rating on Wordpress.org, it's 4.7 out of 5 which is just a really good rating. The Go-Theme has been installed on more than 80,000+ websites, which also gives a good impression of how much people like to work with this theme.
Go theme review: Demos
Like most good Wordpress themes nowadays, the Go-Theme has ready-made demo websites that can be installed with 1 click, the Go-Theme currently offers about 15 of them. For Go + CoBlocks these are the following demos that have their own name: Alder, Ashby, Barista, Bento, Everett, Figure, Keynote and Salt. The nice thing about demos is that you can make a quick start with them. The website is in principle already ready, but still with the wrong photos and texts. So place your logo in it, adjust the texts and photos and you are well on your way to having your own site.
Go theme review: Webshops
With the Go-Theme, the integration of the popular Woocommerce is a piece of cake and the theme is completely prepared for it. There are also a number of stylish minimalistic demos for webshops. On their site you will find these under Go + CoBlocks + WooCommerce called Avenue, Chai, Jane, Philo and Wares. The webshops that are built with this theme have a professional appearance.
Go theme review: Speed
Since Google nowadays honors fast-loading websites with a better SERP (Search Engine Result Page), the themes ensure that they have their loading speed in order and that also applies to the Go-Theme. You can see from the images above that the Go-Theme with a cache plugin performs extremely well in all tests, these are top-loading times.
Go theme review: Customizer
The Go-Theme theme comes standard with the Gutenberg page builder and adds the CoBlocks plugin which make everything work a lot better. That's why I don't think it's necessary to work with a 3rd party page builder. If you want to work with a top page builder, get the Divi Theme, which is of course not free. The complete extensive settings are in the Customizer.
Go theme: CoBlocks installs
CoBlocks is a plugin that currently offers 31 blocks. It also offers rows and columns so that Gutenberg functions practically as a trusted page builder. In the image above you can see that CoBlocks is installed on many more websites (500k+) than the Go-Theme and is therefore also used in many other themes. This is a top plugin.
Go theme review: Conclusion
The Go-Theme is a very good free theme. It offers many demos without paying anything where most themes only do that in the pro version. The use of the CoBlocks plugin is also very practical, although I personally prefer a good pagebuilder. The Go Theme is enough for most people to build a decent website and is easy to work with. If you'd rather spend some money to work with one of the best themes out there, you can do that too.
Go vs Zakra Conclusion
Go and Zakra are both good themes, and the free versions are certainly highly rated for a reason. The pro version of Zakra is obviously a lot better. That does not alter the fact that if we are going to spend money, there are of course much better themes in circulation. My tip is buy Divi, the best-selling and appreciated theme in the world or possibly Astra if you want a lightning-fast theme want to work.
