The-7 Theme vs Porto

THE-7 vs PORTO

You are going to create a website and you have doubts between The-7 vs Porto? These are 2 themes that have been particularly successful for years. Not only do they sell well, they also get very good user ratings. Here we compare 2 multipurpose themes that are both equipped with the Elementor page builder on their qualities.

THE-7 REVIEW (The-7 vs Porto)

The7 is an elite Wordpress theme that is being sold on Themeforest.

The-7 Theme review

In this The-7 Theme review we discuss all the plus and minus points of The 7. The7 was released in September 2013 by Dream-Theme. This great theme has until [2023] been sold 273.569+ times and has a rating of 4.75 out of 5 (7476 ratings) on Themeforest, there are few themes with a better average rating.

New: Elementor integration

Another top theme that has chosen to cooperate with the Elementor page builder. Not a bad idea because Elementor is of course one of the best pagebuilders out there for WP. Definitely an improvement for the theme. It is nevertheless best to upgrade to the PRO version of Elementor.

The7 demo-websites

The7 review: 1000+ theme options?

The-7 theme is one of the most versatile you can imagine. I have not checked them, but according to Dream-Theme, The7 has more than 1000+ theme options and 250+ page options as shown in the image below.

Shortcodes

The theme uses a full version of the WP Bakery pagebuilder, this plug-in takes care of the use of the short codes. This sought after pagebuilder costs a whopping 64 dollars. In The7 there are almost $ 200 worth of extra third-party plug-ins. In principle, one should always keep theme and shortcodes separate from each other. In this way the shortcodes still work after installing a new theme. With The7 this is not possible unless you purchase the plug-in separately later for $ 64. Adding shortcodes via the WP Bakery pagebuilder is very simple on the other hand.

Extra plug-ins

As a writer of this The-7 review, I was also impressed by the many free plug-ins in the theme. So this concerns the WP Bakery pagebuilder, but also the best add-on for it: Ultimate Add-ons. Furthermore you get Convert Plus (Pop-ups), Go Pricing and Slider Revolution 6. The Slider plug-in is my favorite when it comes to sliders and works extremely accurately, you can set the slides for all devices such as laptop or mobile.

Design Wizzard

Something few premium themes even offer is a Wizzard that lets you set all sorts of things such as header, footer, logo and so on. This is of course perfect for people who have never created a website, you can forget so little.

Import functions

The import function lets you install complete demo websites complete with images and slides. But the Importer is also able to import a single page of a demo via the URL you specified. You can use a few pages of different demos in your own design. Most themes that I know cannot do this.

Compatible with WPML

WPML-translation supported

Ready for translation with WPML with which you can create multilingual websites. The theme itself is already available in 10 different languages so you do not have to translate these languages yourself, only your own content.

The theme is compatible with all known plug-ins including for example: WooCommerce, WPML, Yoast SEO, All in One WP Migration, W3 Total Cache and more.

The7 theme review final words

There is about this beautiful theme which is practically always discounted and available for only $ 39 much more to tell of course. But if your interest is aroused, you can use the button below to take a look at the theme page on Themeforest where everything is explained in scents and colors.

PORTO THEME (The-7 vs Porto)

Porto Theme review

I will discuss here the Wordpress version of the Porto Theme. There is also an HTML 5 version that has been around much longer, that you can find here. But we will discuss that another time. The Porto Theme has risen sharply lately, although it has always been among the best themes.

Porto theme review: Rating

Porto theme review rating

When we check out Porto's rating on Themeforest, it is indeed 4.92 out of 5. I know the site and all the themes very well there, and 4.92 may very well be the highest possible rating for the 20 best-selling themes. There are themes with a higher rating, but not on Themeforest. Porto has been sold over 78.767+ times and 2855 people have given a rating, so that is very reliable.

Porto theme review: Demos

Porto Theme review demos

The theme has gone through some pretty extreme improvements that we're going to talk about now. Just like any other self-respecting WP theme nowadays, Porto has ready-made demo websites that can be installed with one click. They have added 30 of these since the last upgrade, bringing the total to almost 100.

The nice thing about demos is that you can make a quick start. The website is already with the wrong photos and texts in principle. So put your logo in it, adjust texts and photos and you are well on your way to having your own site.

Porto theme review: Webshops

66 multipurpose demos are available for all conceivable niches that can be used to create beautiful corporate and private websites. It is great that no fewer than 33 demos are ready-made shops. From here you can quickly start a webshop.

Porto theme review: Speed

Porto Theme review loading times

In the meantime, no theme wants to be left behind in terms of loading times or speed, as Google attaches more and more value to this. Porto is therefore also built with a fast code that ensures good loading times in browsers. Porto also has a built-in speed wizard that helps you make your website even faster, which is quite unique. Of course you can also do this yourself if you read my tutorial here.

Porto theme review: Pagebuilders

Porto Theme review page builders

The Porto theme comes standard with the in my opinion very good WP Bakery Pagebuilder. A solid page builder that has several third-party plugins available to extend the elements. The theme is also fully compatible with the Elementor page builder, one of the best out there in this area. Among the demos you will find about twenty layouts that have been made with it, so that you can work with Elementor after you install one.

Porto theme review: Header builder

Porto Theme review header builder

The header is like a grid where you can drag and drop elements. So it is easy even for laymen to build exactly the header they had in mind. A cool tool! We can't help but give the full marks for this in this Porto theme review.

Porto theme review: Elements

Porto Theme review elements

Porto currently offers 33 elements for the Bakery Pagebuilder, which, as mentioned before, is easy to expand with plugins.

Porto theme review: Revolution Slider

The Revolution Slider is by far the best slider plugin. There are a lot of options, which takes some getting used to if you do not know the plug-in yet and also after a major upgrade as has only happened with the new version 6. However, the documentation of the plug-in is very good, which means that you will quickly discover how everything works. Google searches also always help me with that. The good side is that once you get used to it, you don't want anything else. There are practically no limits to what it can do and everything works smoothly.

Porto theme review: Conclusion

I think the Porto theme is great. The demo layouts are beautiful, the setup of the theme is quick and easy, and it has a good loading time. The theme is indeed very suitable for building shops and the header builder is of course fantastic. The price is just standard for themes on Themeforest so that's okay too. The theme offers great value for money.

The-7 vs Porto comparison conclusion

If I am going to build a webshop, I will certainly choose Porto because of the many possibilities it offers for shops. The Porto theme is also deliberately aimed at creating web shops, so that is not surprising. For all other types of websites it does not matter which theme you use. Certainly the fact that they both use Elementor as a page builder makes them almost equivalent. These are 2 very good themes and certainly recommended if you are looking for themes for only 1 website.

I say this because these themes are only sold on the Themeforest marketplace where one only gets half a year of support and each website you own has to buy a separate license. So from 2 websites you have lost 120 dollars with these themes, while for 89 dollars you can buy the best theme there is for as many sites as you want, namely the Divi Theme with a full year of support.
