Divi vs Flatsome comparison for
Divi vs Flatsome, two great themes to build webshops with. Both themes are also extremely popular at the moment and are being sold on the assembly line. Divi on site through an Elegant Themes membership and Flatsome ranks # 2 on the Themeforest marketplace. Flatsome was built by the makers as a theme for webshops, although it is a multipurpose theme. Divi is very all-round and suitable for any type of website and for good reason the best-selling theme of all time.
We are going to discuss each theme separately, we discuss all aspects of the themes, not only those for web shops, although the emphasis is on that. Mainly we take a look at the features of the themes in which they excel and are not about small details or listing things. You can find the complete information for the themes on their own site.
DIVI REVIEW (Divi vs Flatsome)
After successfully launching in 2013, Divi quickly gained popularity. Who would have thought they would sell so many subscriptions. At the moment no less than 767.154+ pieces. Many of them are worth $ 249 lifetime. You see this is a million dollar business. Apparently many people agree that this is a wonderful offer and I can immediately join. You will not only get Divi, but much more that I will come back to later.
This theme works hand in hand with Woocommerce, the most popular plug-in for web shops. Divi offers a special shop module that you can install if you are going to build a webshop! I can't explain it better than Elegant Themes itself so watch the video below and you will immediately know everything. Takes only 10 minutes.
What characterizes the Divi theme?
The continuous improvements and expansion of Divi's features and settings have made Divi popular with a wide audience, from laymen to pro website builders. Divi has many functions but it can also be kept simple, they do not all have to be used.
Divi vs Flatsome page builders
One point we should definitely talk about in this Divi vs Flatsome review is their page builders. Divi comes with the Divibuilder, a top page builder. Flatsome comes with the UX drag & drop page builder, also a good page builder although the 2 cannot be compared. Divi clearly scores better here. If you are interested in what the best page builder for Wordpress is, read my article on that topic.
Divi 4.0 Review video
To quickly get an impression of the improvements since Divi 4.0, it is a good idea to quickly watch the video below, which takes 4 minutes.
Over time, Divi has grown from a back-end page builder to a thoroughbred front-end WYSIWYG page builder with inline text editor. While working on your website, you will always see a live preview of what the page will look like. Each item is clickable and customizable. Incidentally, the addition of the history editor in Divi is a great asset (pictured below).
Divi: Drag & Drop
Elements can be dragged within the editor using drag & drop, sections can be scaled (also with your mouse) and so you quickly build the layout for your page that you had in mind. (shown in video)
Also the ability to copy sections or elements and export them yourself to other sites is great. All in all, the Divibuilder has quickly grown into a super tool to get pages out of the ground. You can easily create sections and columns that you fill with the large number of elements (46 modules) that Divi has to offer.
Divi Fonts and Text Styling
Being able to adjust more than 600 different fonts in every possible way? This is possible with the Divi text editor. Almost as many options as in a program like Photoshop. There are more page builders with good editos, but the Divi editor is the crown here.
For Divi, in addition to the elements you will find in the editor such as sliders, forms, buttons, text, video, images, price tables, and the like, there are also a lot of third-party plugins on the market that offer extra functionality. Divi contains everything, but for very specific things you can sometimes use a special plug-in.
Divi vs Flatsome: Ready lay-outs en templates
The Divi Builder already offers +800 layouts and +100 website packages. Many will be added here in future upgrades. From these packages and layouts you can combine exactly those pages that you like and thus build your own website. All you have to do is replace everything with your own photos, texts, logo, et cetera.
You can make all your adjustments using the Divi Builder since these pre-made layouts were made with it. The Divi Builder gives you complete control over your entire website. Everything can be adjusted very quickly and with precision. After you have done your job, it is wise to save everything so that you cannot lose it. That is also one of the options that Divi offers.
Divi Leads split-test tool
During our review of Divi theme vs Flatsome, we had to note that there are several options in Divi that Flatsome does not have, such as the Divi Leads split test tool that has been standard since version 2.7. With Divi Leads you can view different versions of a specific page or section on your website and see which version is more popular with your audience. Also think of different call-2 actions, buttons, images and the like.
So we call this split testing. Besides Divi, I believe that only Thrive Architect has split testing in his page builder and for Elementor there is a plug-in for that. It is also called A-B testing by the way.
In any case, a higher conversion is achieved with this. One no longer has to guess what works better, the facts are presented. I assume this function will soon be in all top themes and page builders.
All settings for menu navigation, advertisements, social media, responsiveness, posts, Woocommerce can be found in the extensive Divi theme options panel. There are many more settings, I'm not going to list them all but there are for your SEO, layout, updates and more. The settings are divided into groups so that they are easy to find for you.
Transferability between websites
By transferability we mean being able to import and export between websites. With Divi it is very easy to use your work on multiple Wordpress sites with the Divi theme. This applies not only to your work, but also to your settings and layouts. Web designers save so much work by not having to reset or build everything all the time.
An Elegant-Themes membership gives you access to all of their products including Divi and costs $ 89 per year. Elegant-Themes has 86 other themes and many plug-ins. This is certainly a good deal, but it may be a lot cheaper to get a lifetime membership right away for $ 249. In any case, Divi offers a 30-day money-back guarantee so you can try it risk-free.
Divi vs Flatsome: Divi summary
Divi is suitable for everyone, no HTML or PHP knowledge is required. It is packed with options and settings. The page builder is a pleasure to work with. A good design is quickly set up with the demo sites and a little bit of work. The prices are good to low for the quality they get.
FLATSOME THEME (Divi vs Flatsome)
In this Flatsome vs Divi-Theme comparison, we'll now continue with the Flatsome-Theme. There are many Wordpress themes that declare themselves as the perfect shopping theme. Flatsome is one of them. In this Flatsome theme review, we investigate the qualities of Flatsome. For starters, let's see what others thought about it based on reviews they received. There were 5576 customers who gave them a rating, the average of which is 4.80 out of 5. This is very high and also explains the large number of sales, the theme has already been sold 155.000+ times.
Flatsome came on the market at the end of 2013 and we are not talking about a theme in its infancy, but about themes that have been improved for 7 years and that practically have no bugs for that reason. Also, such a theme will not be taken off the market quickly, so you can enjoy it for years.
Flatsome review: Woocommerce
So Flatsome is specialized in e-commerce and mainly in collaboration with Woocommerce, the most popular Wordpress plug-in for shops. My finding is that the theme indeed has a lot to offer in this area. It is even possible to style all product pages differently as shown below and checkout pages can also be adjusted via the CMS (no coding).
Other cool shop features that Flatsome offers are wishlist, sticky header, live product-search, unlimited forms. The goal of the builders of this theme was as much functionality as possible, which is as easy to operate as possible.
Flatsome review: Headers
Another feature that impressed me while writing this Flatsome Wordpress theme review is the ease with which one changes the header. Even more impressive is the header builder with which you build your own header within a few minutes, exactly how you want it. See the 2 photos below.
Flatsome review: UX Builder
Just like Avada has its own page builder called Fusion Builder and Kallyas its Zion Builder, Flatsome has its UX Builder. These are all very good page builders that are used exclusively in their own theme. Often with such page builders you can work almost as well as with the top page builders in the market, although there are clearly fewer options.
Watch a small video below to see how the UX Builder works. The video takes only 9 minutes.
Flatsome review: SEO
We're going to talk about SEO in this Flatsome review. Below is an image where Flatsome claims to be the fastest theme on Themeforest. I wonder if that is really the case because there are many candidates for that, but at least the theme has a good loading time. If you are looking for the fastest themes out there read my article about this topic.
Flatsome review: Elements
Like all premium themes, Flatsome is full of elements that you can use on your pages through their page builder. I am not going to list them all, by looking at the image below, you will immediately know everything.
Flatsome vs Divi closing comment
You have come to the end of my Flatsome vs Divi comparison and I am going to share my final opinion on the two. Of course Flatsome can do a lot more than I have listed here, but I assume that you got a good impression, especially if you watched the video about the UX Builder. It is clear that both Divi and Flatsome are ideal for making beautiful shops. Regardless of which theme you purchase, it will be easy to create a beautiful design and have a perfectly working shop.
With Divi, however, you not only get a theme, but 86+ themes that also include the Extra Theme, which in itself is also a winner. Plus all plugins and photo library. Price vs quality comparison is therefore heavily in favor of Divi as it only costs 20% more. A lifetime membership costs $ 249 at Divi, but there are sometimes offers that make it even cheaper. You don't need anything else for the rest of your life to build fantastic sites and shops. Winner = Divi!
